Wall Insulation

Many homes in Torrance—particularly those built before the 1980s—have exterior walls with little to no insulation inside the stud cavities. While attic insulation gets most of the attention, uninsulated walls can account for 15 to 25 percent of total heat loss in a home, making wall insulation a high-impact upgrade especially in older South Bay neighborhoods. Torrance Insulation offers dense-pack blown-in wall insulation installed through small drill holes that are patched and virtually invisible after the project is complete.

Our wall insulation process begins with a thermal assessment to confirm which cavities are empty. We drill small-diameter holes—typically 2 inches—through either the exterior siding or the interior drywall depending on the most practical access point, then inject dense-pack cellulose or fiberglass at controlled pressure to completely fill the cavity without settling gaps. The drill holes are then patched, and exterior holes are sealed with color-matched plugs or caulk. The finished result is an insulated wall with no visible evidence of the work from inside or outside the home.

Dense-pack injection is also effective for bonus rooms, knee walls, and garage-adjacent walls that share a thermal boundary with living spaces.
